What is this strange thing that has invaded my kitchen?
It rises. It bubbles. It expands so very slowly that at first you don’t realise just how scary it is. Its taste is very nearly indescribable. Sour, yes, but that doesn’t even begin to cover it – it has, I think, actually got weirder and more sour since this morning.
I do believe my sourdough culture has survived the day.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with it before it bubbles right out of the bowl and comes after me…
